Amie Chiang took her first Yoga class in October of 2006. Falling in love with the Practice after her first week, she joined the Bikram Yoga Tri-City team as receptionist, while studying French and Psychology at UBC. “I was so impressed by how much my focus, concentration, and memory improved! Yoga helped me more than any tutor ever could.”

After two and a half year of Yoga Practice, Amie graduated from UBC and followed her heart: straight to Bikram Yoga teachers training, in Spring 2009. “It was the next best thing to do; I wanted to do more, to share this with the world.” And she has been doing just that: teaching Yoga to hundreds of people since her very first week back from training.

Amie loves Bikram Yoga because of the balance it brings to her life, but also because of the challenges it presents of perfecting her Practice. Hence her favourite posture is Standing Head to Knee, “Because it’s the hardest one for me and I have to give 110% every time”. Her least favourite is breathing in fixed firm, as it signals the end of one more yoga class. Amie encourages everyone to come and try at least one class, and join her Yoga Family. Namaste.
