Suitable for all ages and levels and ability, the Bikram's Yoga series takes 90 minutes to complete. It consists of a set record of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. Each posture is designed to stretch and strengthen specific muscles, ligaments and joints required for successive postures in the sequence.

The Bikram yoga method stimulates the organs, glands and nerves, by moving fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body, restoring a natural balance to all of the body's systems. Flexibility, core-strength and balance are just some of the benefits that participants can achieve. Not to mention the increased mental clarity and stress reducing benefits that are by-products of the Bikram method.

Bikram Choudhury is recognized as one of the world's leading Hatha Yoga authorities. He began studying Yoga in his native India at the age of 3 and today has over 900 yoga schools worldwide.

Gulie Ajania opened her Bikram Yoga studio in Coquitlam in July 2004 after practicing Bikram Yoga since 2001. Although she had been involved in various yoga methods since the 1960's, it was at her first Bikram Yoga class in 2001 that she knew she had found her calling. Six months later, she was in Los Angeles attending the nine week intensive teacher training to become a certified Bikram yoga instructor. Ever since then, Gulie has been sharing passion and expertise with students at various Lower Mainland studios. Gulie is very excited to be bringing this powerful practice to the Tri-City community.
